Waiting

So if you’re waiting on God, wait on Him right to the end. Hos. 12:6, “Wait on your God continually.” Wait until God answers.

Moving at a Productive Speed

Sometimes we find ourselves trying to do a million things at once; whether its at work, in our personal lives, or at school. I think we do this for various reasons; 1) because we know we can, 2) because we are short on time, 3) because the demands are high, 4) because the deadlines are pretty close, 5) because we MUST maintain a perfect reputation, etc. I have found that it is possible to do a few things at once, as long as we pace ourselves well. What's the use attempting to do a million things, if we cannot finish any one of them, or even better, finish them with excellence? Does it make us feel better knowing that all our tasks are in an "In Progress" status? If we prioritize our time, delegate our attention to each item on its own specific time, I am certain that we can accomplish more. Personally, I know that I run into the challenge pretty often and I am one to get things done but I also feel that its important that I do each job well. I also find that as I space out my time, lock myself in, get focused, stay focused...I actually get the job done. On the other hand, there are sacrifices that will be made in times like these. It does not matter what your projects or tasks are but you may have to sacrifice your lunch breaks @ work, your opinions, your will and emotions, your own personal time etc but as long as it does not become a habit, I think its ok. Balance is key! Remember that our reward and blessing for the sacrifices we make in life are not from man, but are from God. I Corinthians 3:8b tells us.....and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. As leaders, we are expected to produce quality in our work; therefore, let's find a system that works. As women, the expectations are even greater; as we are naturally expected to handle much more than normal. A great leader said "Your work is a portrait of yourself, autograph it with excellence". Ladies, let's be creative with our time and we'll find that not only can we get a lot done, but we can also do them well; and as a result, model the structure of moving at a productive speed. Be blessed!

What are you wearing?

Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. As women, its very important that we know the difference between spiritual needs and physical fulfilment. Our minds are naturally geared towards the need to exclusively fulfil our carnal needs but God, the Renewer of minds has called us higher. Our minds, wills and emotions are to be consecrated unto God. We cannot afford to feed the flesh, and thereby punish the spirit. God has called us to greater things. If we desire to see Him move in our lives, then, we must put God first, walk in obedience of the word, hunger in the things of God, and be a part of His move. Only then can we seperate our Spirit from the flesh, as our attention will be directed towards spiritual things. Putting on the Lord is like wearing a garment that clothes your entire body. Since we are baptized in Him, we have become new, created in His Righteousness and Holiness, we have received knowledge from heaven and are to live in the image of God. When people see us, they see what we have on, what we are wearing. If we do not have the right attire/clothing on, they do not see the Holiness or Righteousness of God. Instead they see an image of someting that has made provision for the sinful nature of the flesh and have made a decision to fulfil those desires, as a result. Ladies, let's walk in the Spirit of God so we do not fulfil the lust of the flesh - Gal 5:16. 1 Peter 2:11 tells us to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul. Walk in the anointing of God and cloth yourself with His word, His Holiness and His Righteousness!
