Waiting

So if you’re waiting on God, wait on Him right to the end. Hos. 12:6, “Wait on your God continually.” Wait until God answers.

Relationship

Every real relationship with God begins with a quality decision to let Him into your heart and into your life.

Your issues and problems don’t scare Him. Your fear and anxiety about everything in your life does not move Him. You are His and He is yours - and that's an everlasting promise...

And from the moment He entered into your life, the Spirit of God rolled up His sleeves and went to work in changing you from the inside out. His ultimate goal is for you to look like Jesus on the inside and to behave like Jesus on the outside.

Get to know Him by reading His love letter to you—the Bible.
Get to know Him by spending time with Him in prayer, talking to Him as you would to a friend.
Get to know Him by continuing to let Him into every place in your heart and learning what He has to say about every issue of life.

Relationships

Don’t settle for a relationship that won’t let you be yourself - Oprah Winfrey

This isn't just about a romantic relationship. This is about all kinds of relationships; friends, sibling relationships, parent-child relationships, work-related relationships etc..... If you always have to pretend to be someone else for the sake of being accepted or for status quo, not only will it be a really bad not-so-honest commitment of a relationship, it also leaves a huge opportunity for abuse, misuse and distrust.

Don’t sacrifice yourself all in the name of wanting to be loved and accepted, because if you sacrifice too much there will come a day when you will have nothing else that you will be able to give.

Relationships do not need promises, terms, and conditions. It just needs two wonderful people, who can trust, love, care for, think about and can understand each other.

Anything less or more than this is not the right relationship for you.

Happy Tuesday!

Relationships

If a person wants to be a part of your life, they will make an obvious effort to do so. Think twice before reserving a space in your heart for people who do not make an effort to stay.

While this might be true, friendships do not always start this way but some do end up this way, unfortunately.

I am a firm believer of maintaining relationships the best you can. Whether via phone, text, call, email or pictures; it is important to always put an effort in keeping your relationships alive and healthy. This also depends on the type of relationship too; because not all demand or need a constant checking-in. And there are some that will fall apart if a daily or every other day check-in is ignored.

But, if circumstances challenge the strength of your relationship with another friend, it's important to try to see if it's salvageable. If it is, I'm sure that it'll be with some boundaries; and if it's not, then it'll be with some emotional heartache and break-up.

No matter where you find yourself in the nature of your relationships, remember to take the best part of it and try to forget the worst part of it. Don't let the pain of the bad days ruin the memories of the great days you had.

Happy Thursday!

Giving

Some of the biggest challenges in relationships come from the fact that most people enter a relationship in order to get something: they're trying to find someone who's going to make them feel good. In reality, the only way a relationship will last is if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give, and not a place that you go to take - Anthony Robbins

It can be frustrating if you are always the giver in any kind of relationship; and on top of the world if you are always the receiver.

Relationships (or any type of commitment/covenant that you go into with another person) have and always will be two-sided. One person isn't emotionally able to sustain the needs, care and attention that both people need and desire.

So, do your part and learn to be a giver; and a good one too! Don't worry about what you get in return; God will take of that ;)

Happy Monday!
