Waiting

So if you’re waiting on God, wait on Him right to the end. Hos. 12:6, “Wait on your God continually.” Wait until God answers.

Victim?

“How would your life be different if…You stopped validating your victim mentality? Let today be the day…You shake off your self-defeating drama and embrace your innate ability to recover and achieve.”
― Steve Maraboli

The problem that we have with a victim mentality is that we forget to see the blessings of the day. Because of this, our spirit is poisoned instead of nourished.

Listen, you can only be where your thoughts take you. If you always think, feel and act defeated....guess what, that's what you will be. But, if you start speaking life and victory over your mind, your emotions, your thoughts....then your actions will align and you will begin to walk in and enjoy God's blessings!

You can do it!

8/23/12

The proud...

“The proud person always wants to do the right thing, the great thing. But because he wants to do it in his own strength, he is fighting not with man, but with God.” ― Søren Kierkegaard

You will find this to be true if you are like me, sometimes :).

Absolutely nothing will give you more peace than surrendering all of your freedom; thus, letting go and letting God.

Be good out there today ;)

8/22/12

Open up....

Blessed is he who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed. ~Attributed to both Jonathan Swift and Benjamin Franklin

In everything you do, say or give, let it be with an open heart and a closed transaction.

Expecting something in return for everything you give, say or do doesn't make you a giver..... But makes you a lender!

Keep your hearts open and God will pour into you 100fold!

8/21/12

Hi world!

"I am afraid to show you who I really am, because if I show you who I really am, you might not like it--and that's all I got.” - Sabrina Ward Harrison

There is nothing wrong with being yourself and being exactly who you are. There shouldn't be fear associated with that either. If things need to change in you, hence your hesitation, then you need to focus on those changes And get better. Some of us love having continuous weaknesses so we can choose to hide behind the "issues" and use it as a way out!
On the other hand, if it isn't by your orchestration to keep your "issues" alive :), then do what you can and get some help. Don't settle for that either!

Come out of your shell and let the world.....let us meet you :)

8/20/12

Chill.....

It's never a good idea to make decisions when you are extremely emotional. The choices we make in the heat of emotions would be better if left for some other day.

If you can, chill out a little, rest on it a few days and see how you feel about it; and then you can make a sound decision.

Don't make quick decisions this week, pace your emotions!

Happy "Mighty" Monday!

8/19/12

Talk about a blessing....

Not what we SAY about our blessings, but HOW WE USE them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving — W. T. Parker

You know how it is... we get blessed and we share it as a testimony but how often do we share that testimony with someone else, with a stranger, with the world out there?

To have the miracle is halfway through the journey. To take it to the full measure of its capacity, you have to share.... You just have to :)

Happy Sunday people!

8/18/12

Kindness

In life you can never be too kind or too fair; everyone you meet is carrying a heavy load. When you go through your day expressing kindness and courtesy to all you meet, you leave behind a feeling of warmth and good cheer, and you help alleviate the burdens everyone is struggling with.

Enjoy your Saturday and be kind out there :)

8/17/12

Done??

“Consider the postage stamp: its usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing till it gets there.” - Josh Billings

Of course we have a lot of dreams and aspirations; of course we want a lot and want to do a lot. But the real test is of all the things we have started, which one have we actually brought to the finished line?

Don't have a whole lot of unfinished items hanging around. Get things done!

Happy Friday!

8/16/12

Live already!

Do not be bothered by what other people think of you or say about you, no matter how negative these are. Remember that in the end, it is only between you and your Creator. And only He knows who you are, what you are made of an what's best for you!

So ignore the haters and live big!

Happy Thursday folks!

8/15/12

One more try...

“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow.” -Mary Anne Radmacher

What is that one thing that you think you cannot do, you think about all the time, you are most passionate about, that you feel everyone else is good at, that makes you smile, that you have played out in your mind over and over again.......What is it?

Take a deep breath, believe in yourself, settle it in your heart and let's see if you can walk it out :)

Happy "Winning" Wednesday!

8/14/12

Gift it

It is always a pleasure to lend a helping hand, to care without reserve, and to give without expecting something in return...this is the essence of true friendship that will thrive the test of time - Unknown

One of my mentors would say "if you can afford to lend a friend some money, then you can afford to not expect it back". In other words, if you have it and you can give it, give it as a gift ;). It's the hand that is always open, that receives most!

Happy "Thriving" Tuesday!

8/13/12

Rise up

“You must make a decision that you are going to move on. It will not happen automatically. You will have to rise up and say, ‘I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.” ― Joel Osteen

Decisions are difficult to make, especially when your heart has been broken or your dreams crushed. It is in that moment that you need to decide to rise above the pain and re-live again!

Don't let disappointments destroy your vision; but let it motivate you to achieve greater things.

Happy "Mighty" Monday!

8/12/12

Prepare

“If you believe you can accomplish everything by "cramming" at the eleventh hour, by all means, don't lift a finger now. But you may think twice about beginning to build your ark once it has already started raining” - Max Brooks

Preparation is essential if you want to achieve full success. You cannot just slide into the finished line; you have to be a part of the building process.

This is where your patience is tried, your faith is tested and your character is built!

Happy "Selah" Sunday!

8/11/12

Leaders

Leadership is not a magnetic personality—that can just as well be a glib tongue. It is not "making friends and influencing people"—that is flattery. Leadership is lifting a person's vision to higher sights, the raising of a person's performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations. ~Peter F. Drucker

8/10/12

Ask your dad....

A little boy was having difficulty lifting a heavy stone. His father came along just then. Noting the boy’s failure, he asked, "Are you using all your strength?"

"Yes, I am," the little boy said impatiently.

"No, you are not," the father answered. "I am right here just waiting, and you haven’t asked me to help you." - Author Unknown

Just recently, I had the same feeling. I was fighting carnally and didn't even bother asking my father (God) to help me. I realized that I was incapable of helping myself when I ran out of strength in the first hour! Lol... Was actually quite funny trying to do things on my own and then being reminded that I don't have it in me ;)....

When you come to that point, (hopefully you are much smarter than I am), ASK God for the help you need right from the start. It's a beautiful thing to stand back and watch Him move on your behalf.

Happy Friday!

8/9/12

Small, and then big!

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things (afterall) ~Robert Brault

Life goes on and time waits for no one; therefore it is important that we cherish each moment - whether big or small. Memories are built upon such things and are kept because they add volume to our stories!

Don't live absent-mindedly; be present so you don't miss anything :)

8/8/12

Can you?

You have trusted Him in a few things, and He has not failed you. Trust Him now for everything, and see if He does not do for you exceeding abundantly above all that you could ever have asked or thought, not according to your power or capacity, but according to His own mighty power, that will work in you all the good pleasure of His most blessed will. You find no difficulty in trusting the Lord with the management of the universe and all the outward creation, and can your case be any more complex or difficult than these, that you need to be anxious or troubled about His management of it? - Hannah Whitall Smith

Trust God, knowing that He can do all things! ;) ALL!!!!

8/7/12

Do you feel it?

“If you don't feel it, flee from it. Go where you are celebrated, not merely tolerated.” ― Paul F. Davis

No one should make you feel less than you really are. And if you ever get that feeling of not being wanted around or being mistreated; then, by the grace and strength of God, you need to have an exit strategy!

You are created uniquely and wonderfully and ought to be respected as such!

Be celebrated, not tolerated!

8/6/12

Focus, Focus....

“Don’t let what you can’t do interfere with what you can do.” ~ John Wooden

A lot of us spend a whole lot of money, time and attention on our weaknesses; hoping that we can strengthen them so we can be whole. One great lesson I have learned from my hubby is to focus all of your energy on the things that you do best a.k.a "your strengths". And align yourself with people that are stronger in the things you aren't good at and there....you achieve what you want.

In other words, if you spend all your time on making your weaknesses stronger, then you are actually doing absolutely nothing with your strengths!

Happy "Mighty" Monday!

8/5/12

Check, check!

We should every night call ourselves to an account; What infirmity have I mastered today? What passions opposed? What temptation resisted? What virtue acquired? Our vices will abort of themselves if they be brought every day to the shrift. - Seneca

If we could apply this to our whole lives, our work, our relationships and our attitudes; I feel like it'll probably help us go through life with a lot more caution, sensitivity and awareness of what's in us and around us.

Don't be somewhat manipulative, as I can get ;)

It's always a good thing to check ourselves daily!

8/4/12

How to Give Yourself a Break Physically

1. Allow yourself a little extra sleep, whether it’s by going to bed a half-hour earlier or by sleeping in an extra fifteen minutes and then skipping your usual morning coffee stop.

2. Take a day off from exercising if you usually run, go to the gym, or participate in some type of aerobic class.

3. Skip the stairs and take the elevator or escalator—sometimes it’s perfectly OK to choose the path of least resistance! :)

4. Replace strenuous exercise with something less intense, like stretching.

5. Relax in a sauna or steam room to relax your muscles and sweat out chemicals that build up in your body.

6. Utilize a detoxifying cleanse to clear out toxins and give your digestive organs a break.

7. Take a break from processed foods and sugar if a cleanse feels too extreme.

8. Get a massage or trade massages with someone you love. Massages are not only relaxing; they’ve also been proven to minimize anxiety, boost the immune system, and reduce depression and anxiety.

9. Take a long, hot bath to take weight off your weary muscles and joints.

10. Be mindful of your posture at your desk at work and take breaks to walk around and stretch. This one is smart on any day—hunching over our computers can cause major back and neck pain!

Happy Saturday!

8/3/12

Friday laughs!

“I've always thought that a big laugh is a really loud noise from the soul saying, 'Ain't that the truth.'” - Quincy Jones

It's Friday and it has been a very long week. As you close your week; take sometime and enjoy a good loud laugh! :)

8/2/12

Inner challenges

“There are two big forces at work, external and internal. We have very little control over external forces such as tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, disasters, illness and pain. What really matters is the internal force. How do I respond to those disasters? Over that I have complete control.” - Dr. Leo Buscaglia (1924-1998);

Yes, how do I respond to my inner challenges? It's important to have control over our emotions and feelings as they cause our personalities to manifest.

8/1/12

Trust Factot

A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter:
"Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river." The little girl said:
"No, Dad. You hold my hand."
"What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father.

"There's a big difference," replied the little girl.
"If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."

So it is in any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold yours...

100%

Before water generates steam, it must register 212 degrees of heat; 200 degrees will not do it. The water must boil to generate enough steam to move an engine. Lukewarm water will not run anything. Lukewarmness will not generate life's work. - Anonymous

For everything that you set out to do, give it 100%. Anything short of that will unfortunately be a poor representation of your full potential!

Don't hold back... Be brave and bold to show all out!

Monday Monday

“Always Remember to take your Vitamins: Vitamin A for Action, Vitamin B for Belief, Vitamin C for Confidence, Vitamin D for Discipline, Vitamin E for Enthusiasm!!” ― Pablo

Monday morning always comes with the feeling of getting things done! You feel positive, excited, motivated, focused and driven....hopefully. :)

What you don't remember is that you will soon feel tired! .... Yes! Even on a Monday!!!

Solution: Take your vitamins as you will need them for strength and endurance!

It's Mighty Monday! Pace yourself

7/29/12

Relax for 5minutes

No matter how much pressure you feel at work, if you could find ways to relax for at least five minutes every hour, you'd be more productive - Dr. Joyce Brothers

This actually works for me. I try to get my 5 minutes in at the end of each hour, in preparation for the next!

You can use this technique for life in general. It's a great Selah moment.

Happy Sunday!

7/28/12

Morning!

If you have only one smile in you, give it to the people you love. Don’t be surly at home, then go out in the street and start grinning ‘Good morning’ at total strangers. – Maya Angelou

The people at home, your close loved ones are the ones who know you best; so it's only fair that they should get the best of you, right?

Reflect good character and tremendous integrity; for it'll go a long way (on your behalf).

Happy Saturday!

7/27/12

Forgive

"Once a woman has forgiven her man, she must not reheat his sins for breakfast." - Marlene Dietrich

When you hold resentment toward another, you are bound to that person or condition by an emotional link that is stronger than steel. Forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and get free. Basically, it is me giving up my right to hurt you for hurting me.

7/26/12

It is time!

And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom - Anais Nin

Sooner of later, you will need to come out of that box of yours! Step out in faith; one step at a time. The people around you, your family and the world are waiting patiently to meet you and all of your potential.

Do not be afraid to be you! It is time ;)

7/25/12

Mid week

“Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.” -C.S. Lewis

This is true!

For some of us, its easier to stay in the past because we can honestly justify our wrong actions to EVERYONE. For others, it's just not easy to shake it off.

Though we may battle with our pride, self esteem and egos, it's time to shake those yesterdays away..... :)

And start winning :)

7/24/12

Hang on....

When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on. ~Franklin D. Roosevelt

Even at the end of the end, lies hope....(only if you choose to see it that way).

No matter what your season is, remember that God is in the midst of all of it! Be encouraged and hold on.... Your breakthrough awaits!

7/23/12

Monday decisions

"You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.~Joe Sabah~

Start your week with prayer, discipline, intention, dedication, integrity, faith and passion.

Stay the course and you'll see greater things happen in you. Also, the people around you will be equally blessed because of your decision to stay the course. 😉

7/22/12

Rest

“Every person needs to take one day away. A day in which one consciously separates the past from the future. Jobs, family, employers, and friends can exist one day without any one of us, and if our egos permit us to confess, they could exist eternally in our absence. Each person deserves a day away in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for. Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us.” ― Maya Angelou, Wouldn't Take Nothing for My Journey Now

Get some "rest" time. It's been a long week and you deserve it!
Selah

7/21/12

Happiness?

Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same. ~ Francesca Reigler

I plan on being and staying happy; and doing whatever it takes to maintain that attitude.

As you experience your Saturday, think on these things and determine what route you will take.

How much work are you willing to put in for the condition of your state of mind?

7/20/12

What's a friend?

What is a friend?

A friend is one who walks in when others walk out.

A friend is one to whom one may pour out all the contents of one’s heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.

A friend is one with whom you are comfortable, to whom you are loyal, through whom you are blessed, and for whom you are grateful.

A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care. A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.

A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.

Friends: people who know you well, but like you anyway.

A friend is someone with whom you dare to be yourself.

My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me.

Friends are those rare people who ask how we are and then wait to hear the answer.

Friendship is the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words.

Do you have a friend?

7/19/12

Thx!

Praise the bridge that carried you over. ~ George Colman

Why not? ;)....
We applaud the pilot when we land; we are thankful after a long journey; and we are grateful for a good deal/sale when we get one!

Shouldn't be difficult then, to thank God for taking you through the little things and bringing you out safely and in your right mind.

Amen!

7/18/12

Winners

"If you will call your troubles experiences, and remember that every experience develops some latent force within you, you will grow vigorous and happy, however adverse your circumstances may seem to be." — John R. Miller

It doesn't matter what you are going through, or what obstacle you faced or are facing; know that none of those troubles are permanent and the situation is there to grow you up and make you strong, strong, strong!

It's winning Wednesday; go get some wins!

7/17/12

Press on!

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts." Winston Churchill

Sometimes, in the midst of all the running around and wanting to catch on the right opportunity, we find ourselves taking the wrong turn and missing the mark...
A mis-take.....!

Thank God that in these times, we can easily get up, wipe our tears, stand up tall and take another try at it!

Persevere in tough times, stand strong in stormy weathers, be bold in anxious moments and see how easy God makes it for you in the end.

Happy "Thriving Tuesday"!!!

Planning to live!!!

I find it fascinating that most people plan their vacation with better care than they do their lives. Perhaps that is because escape is easier than change - Jim Rohn

Do not let this be your story!!!!

This week, let's focus on setting some realistic, practical and feasible goals. Let's do everything we can to accomplish them too! Disregard the tiny distractions, stay focused, maintain your integrity and values, be yourself and get the job done!

It's Mighty Monday"!
Plan your life with the intention of living it!
I believe in you!

7/15/12

Sunday spent well

"A Sunday well-spent brings a week of content.” - Proverb quotes

Choose wisely how you will occupy your Sunday. Pray with intention and be specific. Do things that will bring you great results for your week. Be centered around God, family, friends, loved ones; and it'll give you the peace, strength, commitment, devotion, focus and faith you need to conquer this week!

Weekends

Hey there!
It's Saturday....and I hope you had a great week. As you get into the weekend, enjoy the little moments, relax with the people that matter most and do something for you too!

Weekends are a bit like rainbows; they look good from a distance but disappear when you get up close to them. ~John Shirley

7/13/12

Friday friends!

Friends are everywhere (easy to find), but good friends are rare (harder to keep).
Its always healthy to have people around you who can dish it you, with no problem. And even better when those friends don't mind that you do the dishing too sometimes! That's what friends are for!

It's friendly Friday.... If you do not have a friend as such, I hope you find one soon. It's a blessing :)

- A good friend is cheaper than therapy. ~Author Unknown

7/12/12

Don't get caught up!

“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it’s time to pause and reflect.” – Mark Twain

We all find ourselves in these places that we didn't plan to be in, from the start ..... (or maybe we did :). Whether it is up with "the powers that be" or down with the "commoners".

The challenge with being a part of the "famous/popular/most talked about" ones is that if we do not see the big picture, it's very easy to become or be labeled as one of them.

On the other hand, if we find ourselves with the "regular/low-earning/always always working hard" folks, and never excel from that mental state, it's very easy to stay as one of them.

No matter where you find yourself in the "ladder of success"; know that you are a person of influence and that you have been placed where you are for a specific reason. Don't get caught up with "you". Get to work and change some things!

7/11/12

Winners and Wednesdays

“I've wanted to win at everything, every day, since I was a kid. And time doesn't change a person, it just helps you get a handle on who you are. Even at age 41, I still hate losing--I'm just more gracious about it. I'm also aware that setbacks have an upside; they fuel new dreams.”
― Dara Torres

This says it all! Keep fighting and keep winning!

7/10/12

Tuesday rocks!

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, and how you can still come out of it.” ― Maya Angelou

Be SUPER DUPER STRONG on the inside and every single one of your enemies will have no other choice but to flee and recognize how much God protects you!

Happy "Thriving" Tuesday!

7/9/12

Monday is here!

Wherever you go, go with all your heart - Confucius

New day, new week, new challenges.....& new faith!

Face this week with confidence, make sound decisions, create and build long lasting work relationships, and model an excellent path of integrity!

Happy Monday!

7/8/12

Be a master!

Your mind is your instrument. Learn to be it's master and not it's slave - unknown

As we end our playtime and begin our work week, it's a great time and idea to prioritize our goals and strategize a game plan.

Though you aren't physically buried in your work at this moment, the pressure is definitely on!

However, in that same token, take things one issue at a time; keep focused and get the job done!

Selah (meditate)!

7/7/12

Time for some silliness!

If I had a boyfriend, I would force him to move to my street, so we can sneak out at night and wander around..being silly and all. - unknown

One thing I will encourage, which is quite liberating (by the way), is doing something silly every now and then! :)

If you haven't yet....when you do, you will find that at that moment, you feel as if you can do anything!

We work hard, now it's time to play silly ;). Enjoy your Saturday!

7/6/12

Friday Friday!

Don't wait for something big to occur. Start where you are, with what you have, and that will always lead you into something greater' - Mary Manin Morrissey

And so it is with friendships/relationships. They never start out perfect, established and full of commitment. You actually have to start at the very beginning; and then follow through with time.

This is how friends are built; BFFs are inseparable; marriages are locked in and families are created!

Ladies, it's "Friendly Friday", ..... Go ahead and make a new friend today! It's ok! :)

7/5/12

Today!

So the past did happen, yes; and the future is coming, sure; but what is happening to today? Do you constantly live in regret or fear of yesterday? Or in anticipation of tomorrow? Who is enjoying your present life - the here and now? - unknown

A lot of times, we find ourselves lost in both worlds (past and the future) and unconsciously, we have no clue how to get through the day.

Start living, enjoy what today brings, appreciate your present blessings; and the other two worlds wouldn't be so much of a burden on your shoulder anymore!

7/4/12

Winning day!

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you; then they fight you, and then you win! - unknown

It takes huge character to stand firm in the face of roadblocks and challenges. But when you can face then head on; they have no choice but to respect your territory!

It's Winning Wednesday, let's do it!

7/3/12

A woman's strength

The strength of a woman is not measured by the impact that all her hardships in life have had on her; but is measured by the strength of her refusal to allow those hardships to dictate her into who she becomes - C. Joybell

Do not allow yourself to be defined by your circumstances but by how you respond to them!

There is always a light at the end of the tunnel! Keep moving!

7/2/12

Discipline

A woman without decision of character can never be said to belong to herself.....she belongs to whatever can take captive of her. - John Foster (revised).

As you begin your week, remember to discipline yourself in the things that will bring you great results. Stay focused on what you need to do to get to where you need to be.

Remember that every task, every project, every step, everyday brings you closer to the end.

Go get them!

7/1/12

Selah!

Hello "Selah Sunday"!

Today, we meditate on:
1) This week - it's details, possible challenging moments and ways we will overcome them.
2) Our health - possible improvements we need to make
3) Relationships - open doors; staying humble, being available, etc

..... And other things on your list. :)

Selah!

TGIS

Yay, it's Saturday!

Hopefully, where you are is nice enough to do something outdoorsy :).

You've worked hard, now its time to play hard!
It's "silly Saturday", hence, no serious/uptight/non-flexible living today ;).

If you can't have fun on your own, find a friend that'll help you relax and enjoy all of your hard work this week!

Take care RW! Go ahead and rejuvenate!

6/29/12

Weekend planning!

As we come to the close of our work week, it's a good time to start thinking of how we will spend the weekend. And who will be a part of it 😊.

As you consider these things, start by being hospitable to a friend at work, a friend outside of work, or a new friend etc. It's a rewarding feeling when you think/care for someone else!

Happy Friday! And happy thoughts! :)

6/28/12

Oh Thursday!

Today is the official countdown to the weekend day; therefore we need to start things right! ;)

It's "Treat Thursday"; meaning treat yourself to something nice. Whether its a walk outside, or a mani/pedi, or a scoop of your favorite ice cream, or a pair of shoes; listen, you deserve it!

Go treat yourself, and please please please, do it well!

Enjoy!

6/27/12

Mid week

It's "Winning Wednesday" and we plan on doing just that..... Winning!

(take a deep breath)...... It's mid-week!

Your actions today will confirm your perspective on the last two days; and will also give insight on your motivation level about the next two days.

Stay strong, remain focused and win, win, win!

6/26/12

Focus, focus

If you do not know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else - Yogi Berra

Today's challenge: stay focused on your path.

It's very easy to get off course, get distracted, appear busy - and in essence lose focus on the end.

It's "Thriving Tuesday", therefore gladly carry on Monday's legacy. Be bold, brave, courageous and intentional in achieving your goals.

6/25/12

Mighty Monday

Begin somewhere; you cannot build a reputation on what you intend to do. - Liz Smith

We are off to a new start this week and we come with motivation, determination, drive, trust, self control, and passion!

Remember, you are a leader! Therefore, lead with passion. Plan a week of victory; a week of motivation; a week of learning; and a week of fun!

Happy "Mighty" Monday!

6/24/12

I love Sundays!!!

I love Sundays!

Sunday, for me, is a day of reflection and preparation:

-How was my week? Did I accomplish anything/everything? What would I have done differently?
-What will this week bring? Will I meet all my goals? What adjustments will I make?

It's Selah Sunday; what's on your mind?

6/23/12

Oh the weekend!

Finally, the work week is over and the weekend has begun.

This is the day where we do something silly. It's a breather from all the week's seriousness.

To make it more exciting, do something silly with/to someone else.

It's "Silly Saturday"; what are you going to do today?

6/22/12

Friday

A good character is the best attitude.

Those who love you and are helped by you will always remember you.

Be friendly and do friendly things. Carve your name on hearts!

Happy "Friendly Friday" folks!

6/20/12

Win, win, win!

I always give 100% at work:

10% - Monday
23% - Tuesday
40% - Wednesday
22% - Thursday
5% - Friday

If this is in fact true, then Wednesday is the day to win, win, win!

6/19/12

Thriving Tuesday

With the same zeal & intensity, I welcome Tuesday.

Today comes with the challenge of responsibilities, motivation and drive!

Today challenges the heart of a fighter and questions the ability to thrive!

...Still got it?

6/18/12

Hello Monday!

Hello Monday!

Non-compromising on my values
Coming to you with 100%

Excited about getting this week started

Monday, you're not ready for me!!!!!! :)

6/17/12

Selah

It's always a good idea to plan ahead and prepare for what's coming.

What does this coming week look like? What needs to be in alignment to help you achieve your wins? What types of connections do you need to make? What are your priorities and in what order? .....etc.

Also, how will you handle things emotionally, what is your mental capacity, and what can you take on physically.

Think on these things, as it'll help orchestrate your game plan.

Selah!!

6/16/12

Silly day

Hey there! Happy weekending!

Guess what.... It's Saturday....and that means no more seriousness :).

It's the day of the sillies. What are you gonna do?

Let it go and get your silly on! Enjoy today my friends :)

6/15/12

TGIFF

TGIFF - Thank God its Friendly Friday!

Congratulations on surviving this week at work! Now, time to do something different! :)

End of the workweek challenge: You work with them, have lunch beside them, process information with them etc; it's time to surprise them. Your task is to do something nice for a fellow colleague or co-worker!

Have fun being friendly and doing friendly things! :)

Happy Friday folks!

6/14/12

Treat Thursday!

If your week has been like mine, then you've been going going going!

My biggest challenge has always been taking a little timeout for me. Though this is hard, its equally necessary.

So.... If you could take a little timeout for you: what would you do?

:) "Treat yourself today".... Happy Thursday RW!

6/13/12

Mid week loving :)

Mid-week devotion;
It is Wednesday and it's mid-week. It's very easy (today) to give everything just a little tiny bit of your energy....being that you have been working so hard all week.....BUT you won't, right?
It doesn't matter how bad you feel or how bad it looks, everything you set your hands to deserves 100% of your time, commitment, attention and heart.
Watch out Wednesday, we are here to win!

6/12/12

The day after Monday....

Today's focus: Thrive!
Be willing to continue with the same (beginning of the week's) intensity, zeal and passion to see things through....and to get things done!
The pressure is on and guess what....you can deliver!
Pace your actions...it's "Thriving Tuesday".

6/11/12

Monday!

Mondays are awesome! It is the first door of the week that lures you into a world of great possibilities.

It is your responsibility; however, to pace yourself, decide on your long/short term goals for the week and keep an open mind for adjustments....if needed :)

Mighty Monday, here I come!

6/10/12

What a week.... Sunday ... Yay!

What a week, right?

Here is your Selah Sunday moment; where you stop for a little bit, breathe, and spend some good time meditating.

Reflect on your past week, the upcoming week, the direction you are going in, your priorities, your responsibilities, your expectations of yourself, everyone else's expectations of you, your desires, your needs, your wants, your to-do's ...must do's...can't do's...shouldn't do's... etc.....

Think on these things ...

6/9/12

It's Saturday'

Sometimes, its ok to be silly. Silliness keeps your heart young.
It's Silly Saturday - do something silly: something out of the ordinary for you
:)

6/7/12

Hard to believe :)

Happy Thursday!

I actually did something nice for myself last week as promised! :).... Though it was a weird feeling, it was nice :).
Usually, when I do something for me, I also do something for the hubby and the kids - its only natural. But this time, I didn't - hence the weirdness!

After a hard long week of thinking and doing for others ......... It's "Treat Thursday" - what are your plans for you?

Enjoy!

6/6/12

Oh....Wednesday

It's mid-week, a.k.a "Winning Wednesday".

Congratulations on surviving Monday's directive and Tuesday's urgency. :)

You should start seeing some results today. This is the day that separates the pressure of the beginning of the week from the relaxation of the end of the week.

Almost there! Win big :)

6/5/12

Monday part B!

In my book, Tuesday should be called Monday Part 2; Part B or the 2nd Monday. I say this because Tuesday is just as hardworking as Monday was. Everything that wasn't accomplished yesterday, hopefully will be today!

Stay focused on your plan(s) for this week. Don't let small distractions come in between your start and finish lines!

It's Tuesday, ..... Thrive!

6/4/12

To do!

It doesn't matter how busy your weekend was....Monday is without a doubt just around the corner and it bears its mental and emotional weight of several to-dos :).

"Mighty Monday" gets you in the mood of setting your weekly goals. Trust your instinct, gain your motivation, be deliberate in making sound decisions and closing out your tasks; and you will be sitting right on top!

Plan strong!

6/3/12

What?.....meditation?

Hey there! It's Selah Sunday! This is where we spend a little time in meditation.

Simple questions to ponder on:

What has the past week been about?
Was it what you expected?
Did you meet all your professional goals?
How about the non-professional ones?
What items will you carry over to this coming week?
What will you do differently? Or keep the same?
What drives you?
What direction will your desires, your strengths and your motivations take you this week?

Selah, my friends :)

6/2/12

It's time to be .....

Today's challenge:

Do something silly, something you won't naturally do on your own, something out of the ordinary.

After a long week of expectations, demands, seriousness, decisions etc... You can use some silliness in your life :)

Happy Silly Saturday!

6/1/12

A nice day!

It's Friendly Friday; which means you get to do something friendly and something nice for a friend.

This simple act of kindness can be towards an existing friend or towards a new friend.

It's good to be nice to someone else; it opens up a window of blessings and opportunities on your behalf!

Happy Friday!

5/31/12

What a treat!!!!

So.... Last week, I did say that I was going to treat myself to a pedicure BUT I ended up getting too busy and forgot about it! ... Unfortunately!

However, it's "Treat Thursday" AND I am going to do a me-thing today :)..... I certainly deserve it.... Indeed!

What about you? What's on your calendar
for you today?

Go treating! :)

5/30/12

My winning Wednesday

No matter how your week started; smile, knowing that you are already a winner! :)

Hopefully, you should start to see some progress from all your efforts and input.

"Winning Wednesday" comes with a gift. It allows you to evaluate your success at this point; permits you to re-group if necessary, and pats you on the back for a good job well done!

Happy Wednesday! :)

5/29/12

It's Tuesday!!!

Thriving Tuesday this week (for some), is like a "maybe Monday".
The good news is that this is a short week; therefore focus concentrated.

Be brave in tackling the hard goals
Be strong in pressing through
Be open to new ideas and direction
Be the "captain" of your choices!

5/28/12

Happy Monday!

Though today is a non-working day for some of us; it's still important to set your pace for the week. It is Mighty Monday, plan wisely!

5/27/12

Selah Sunday

What a week this has been, right?

Personally, I was able to tackle on some physical tasks, make some mental decisions, manage some emotional stress, and get a little bit of rest.

But what I did not do is have some ME time..... I need to get better at this one :). This, I will need to roll it over to next week!

Its Selah Sunday; therefore take a little time and meditate on your past week, meditate on your upcoming week. Think about the direction you will take on some things. What items will rollover for you, if any.

Doing things with intention

Hello ladies,
Hope you are all having a great week!

Starting next week, (in addition to the occasional blogs), you will be receiving daily notes from me via Facebook, Email/Text and Twitter; regarding our health, our time, our decisions and more.

While we all have a million things happening in our lives, I encourage you to take 5mins out of your day to practice these short personal activities. It'll help keep things in perspective for you (I hope) :).

Happy Wednesday!
